Arzu Baloglu's Space

I've created a magazine cover to show what students can obtain when we integrate technology into classes after reading and watching Vicki Davis's great ideas here.There are a lot of advantages of it and I believe using technology motivates not only students but also teachers to be more creative.

I've prepared this magazine cover on BigHugeLabs and used Jing to capture the image.I have used Jing several times and find it very helpful.

I liked BigHugeLabs to create magazine covers or posters.It is a tool I will definitely use with my students.

I'm looking forward to sharing the results here.

I have been trying to adapt some web tools into my teaching lately and my students and I've had lots of fun since the day I started using them.A few months ago I set up a class wiki in order to encourage my students to use them more efficiently and publish their own work.

The aim of this class wiki is to motivate students to use English skills outside the classroom,work collaboratively and have fun while learning English.

The first web tool to introduce to them was Voki.In class I showed them how to create a Voki avatar and embed it into the wiki page.Later I gave a homework assignment to them,which was creating their own Voki avatar and embedding it into our class wiki.So here is the result.

I like Voki.Now my students like Voki as much as I do.This is my own Voki on our class wiki.
